How soon will I receive my purchases?

Normal delivery times within the Domesitic U.S. vary according to the schedule below:

  • USPS Priority: 3-6 business days from the date of shipment
  • USPS Air Parcel Post: 4-7 business days from the date of shipment
  • USPS Express Mail: 3-5 days from the date of shipment

**Some carriers may require signature. We are not responsible for the failure of the carrier to demand this, nor can we request that they do not. Customers are responsible for facilitating proper delivery by carrier. Shipping & Handling is not refundable on refused or undeliverable shipments.

How do I know which carrier to use?

We offer convenient shipping methods for delivery within the United States. During the checkout process, you will have the opportunity between delivery methods and view the actual shipping charge of your order. You can always go back and change your choice of shipping method in order to recalculate the shipping charge before you submit the order to us. Orders are served on a first come first ship basis provided the items are in stock. All customers will be notified of any delay by email.

**Delivery cannot be made to P.O. Boxes for UPS, or FedEx shipping.

Some of our products can only be shipped with UPS ground service; these products will be noted as such within the product description. The majority of drop shipped items can only be shipped via UPS.

Some of our products can be shipped via USPS; these products will be noted as such within the product description. If you have a preferred shipping method and it is not offered as an option to you, contact us to let us know.

Why do I see more than one shipping charge within my shopping cart?

This is called split shipping. This occurs when you put multiple items into your shopping cart and some of the items must be drop shipped from the manufacturer.  The items that are in-stock items are shipped from our Hot Springs office. This is the actual cost of shipping that we have to pay the vendor to ship the product. We

Do you offer free shipping?

Periodically we offer free shipping on certain items. Free shipping offers are restricted to U.S. domestic shipping via the courier of our choice. These will be noted in the shopping cart if they apply.

International Shipping

We will ship to the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Scandinavian countries, Western Europe, Japan and the United States ONLY. Any other countries will need to contact Unconventional Lapidarist via email. We do not ship to other parts of Asia or South America.

**For all international shipments, the customer is responsible for any additional duties, taxes, and entry fees associated with their purchases. Customers are responsible for facilitating proper delivery by carrier. All International purchases are final and nonrefundable. Shipping & Handling is not refundable on refused or undeliverable shipments.

Rates calculated by our online store for countries outside of the United States are not always accurate. If we see a discrepancy we will email you the actual shipping costs and adjust your order accordingly.

The shopping cart will only calculate USPS shipping rates online. All other options are available and you will need to contact us to determine actual shipping charges.

Other international shipping options that are available include.

  1. Federal Express (International Priority, International Economy)
  2. UPS Worldwide Express
  3. UPS Worldwide Expedited

Once you have chosen and paid for your items, we will ship them out via one of the methods listed above. The most affordable method is typically USPS Airmail Parcel Post or USPS Global Priority Mail (depending on the weight and destination of the shipment).

Return Policy


Unconventional Lapidarist is committed to providing you with quality products. It is important to us that you are satisfied with each purchase. The descriptions of our products offered on the site are as accurate as possible. However, we do not warrant the product descriptions or other content of this site as complete, current, or error-free.

Refunds are available as follows:

Simply initiate the return within 7 days from the ship date and ensure that the item is in its original condition (including: packaging, manuals, warranties, accessories, security seals, etc.). We must receive your item back within 15 days of when we originally shipped it to you. Please allow us 5-7 business days from the time we receive the item to process your return.

  • A restocking fee of 15% of the purchase price will be applied against any refund.
  • Shipping and handling fees are not refunded and the purchaser is responsible for all costs of returning item/s.
  • All items must be unaltered and undamaged.
  • All items/parts of the original item must be returned in one single shipment

Items must be sent from the United States (we do not provide return/refund services for APO/FPO addresses or internationally). For your protection, we suggest all returns be sent by a traceable carrier. The customer must pay all costs related to return shipping.

For refunds on purchases made with a credit card, we will issue a credit to the same credit card used to make the purchase. You may also ask to receipt a store coupon to use for future orders.

Before returning your items, please obtain a return authorization (RA) number by emailing:

Items being returned must be:

  • Returned within 15 days of purchase
  • Accompanied by a receipt, packing list, or other proof of purchase and your RA number.
  • In salable condition

To return your item(s):

Pack the item/s in the original box or tube or comparable material. Be sure to include on a separate piece of paper packed inside the box with the item/s, the reason for the return, the RA number, and what action you would like us to take - replacement or refund. Make sure that the RA number is placed on the OUTSIDE AND INSIDE of your package.

Custom Items:

No returns accepted. Custom items will be noted as such within the product description.

Liquidation Items:

All sales are FINAL on liquidation categories. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on liquidated items.

Canceling an Order:

Email or contact us and we will cancel any order that has not yet already been processed or shipped. Please include your name and order number. You may reach us during regular business hours or contact us by email.
